Alan Sill Photography is a member of the National Union of Journalists.

A series of photographs that attempts to de-construct the pursuit of happiness created by media ideals and conventions. Using the iconic image of Snow White, this series of images unravels in particular the way women have been led to believe that perfection and beauty can only be found from the following of pre-incremented paths that have been constructed by a capitalist society
Snow White depicts this illusion for women and in turn, un-picks the images women are presented with as 'normal', and that without these carefully constructed norms to 'aspire' to, their contribution as an individual is less than worthy as they plunge further into the beauty trap
Blurb.com. My best mate Kevin Cadwallender has written a series of original poems to be viewed alongside.
I hope you find both the photographs and poems interesting and memorable.
Quayside Walk
Take a little time to undertake a short walk starting at the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, walk across the Gateshead Millennium Bridge and head left along the Quayside towards the Tyne bridge.
The walk is quite short in total about 2000 meters I would say, take the walk during the hours of daylight and you will discover this area to be a thriving cosmopolitan area with bars, restaurants and public spaces.
However, its just before dusk when the sun sinks below the Tyne Bridge can we discover a mesmerizing array of reflections, twinkling lights and colour set between the glorious innovative tilting Gateshead Millennium bridge and the elder Tyne Bridge.
This collection of photographs chronicles this walk – perhaps from these photographs, you may discover some things that you may have missed.
Breathe deep, and fill your soul with the joy of vibrant modern city vistas.
